My Journey
With Running.
I'm an ultra runner and running coach with more than 14 years of coaching experience. Running has been a huge part of my life, and over the years I've experienced the highs, the setbacks, the early mornings, the long runs and everything in between.
My experience as both a runner and a coach has shaped the way I work with people. I don't believe there's one perfect way to train, or that every runner should follow the same plan. Your training should work for you, your goals, your experience, your lifestyle and the life you have outside of running.

How I Got Here.
I've spent more than 14 years coaching, working with runners and helping people become more confident in what they can achieve. Over that time, I've learned that the biggest changes don't always come from pushing harder. More often, they come from showing up consistently, training with purpose and giving your body the time it needs to adapt.
My own experience with ultra running has reinforced that even more. Long-distance running teaches you patience. There are no shortcuts, and things don't always go exactly to plan. You learn to listen to your body, adapt when you need to and keep moving forward when things get difficult.
That's something I bring into my coaching. Your training needs to work with your life, not against it.
I want my coaching to give you more than a list of sessions to complete each week. I want you to understand why you're doing them, feel confident in your training and have someone there to help you through the inevitable ups and downs.

My Approach to Coaching.
I believe good coaching starts with understanding the person, not just the runner.
Your goals, your experience, your lifestyle, your commitments and even how you're feeling from week to week all matter. That's why I create personalised training plans rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
For me, coaching is built around a few simple principles:
Consistency over perfection.
You don't need to have a perfect training week every week. You need a plan you can realistically stick with.
Purpose behind every session.
Your training should have a reason. I want you to understand how each session contributes towards your bigger goal.
Recovery is part of training.
Getting stronger isn't just about the miles you run. Rest, recovery and strength work all play an important role.
Training should fit your life.
Work, family, holidays and everything else don't stop because you're training for a race. Your plan needs to work around your life.
Enjoy the process.
Running should be something you enjoy, not another source of pressure. Reaching a goal is important, but so is enjoying the journey to get there.
